MUSICSPEAK: MUSIC INDUSTRY PANEL SERIES

Join us this year for a new music industry panel series, MUSICSPEAK. This bi-monthly educational series will focus on a variety of compelling topics, feature a panel of respected music industry professionals, and host an hour of connection and networking over appetizers and beverages. The six MUSICSPEAK events in 2019 will take place on the last Wednesday of February, April, June, August, and October, and the second Wednesday of December.

JUNE 26 - MUSICSPEAK : PUBLISHING 101

Join us for Musicians Corner's MUSICSPEAK panel event on June 26th at Helping Our Music Evolve (HOME). The discussion topic for the evening will be Publishing 101. Come to hear music industry panelists discuss all aspects of music publishing. After the panel portion of the evening, stick around for an hour of connection and networking over drinks and appetizers.

Panelists include:

  • Samantha Jervey - Sr. Creative Director, Publishing at Big Loud
  • Kevin Lane - Creative Director at Kobalt
  • Leslie Roberts - Executive Director, Creative at BMI
  • Paul Worley - Founder/Owner at Paul Worley Productions

Admission includes:

  • Two complimentary drink tickets (21+ only) for Yazoo beer

  • Complimentary appetizers and small bites provided by Take Away Catering & Events

Event Timeline:

  • 6:00 pm- Doors open
  • 6:30-7:30 pm- Panel Discussion
  • 7:30-8:30 pm- Networking Hour

About the Venue: Helping Our Music Evolve (HOME) is a nonprofit, membership-based coworking community that offers content production, rehearsal, recording, and event spaces for music professionals with 24/7 access and online scheduling.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

All students must provide a valid student ID for entry at the student rate. All attendees 21+ who wish to drink must provide a valid ID.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The venue has a free parking lot and there is also street parking available. We encourage you to consider taking a taxi or rideshare service for safety if you plan to drink at our event.
