Stacey Randol’s third album Songs in the Soil, out February 5th 2019, explores new territory while staying true to the musical inspiration from which she has always drawn.
Produced by fellow bandmate, Michael McBurnett, the album was recorded over the span of two years at their home studio in Nashville, TN. Songs in the Soil fuses multiple genres and sparks an overall vintage feel. Randol’s new music will resonate well with fans of Fleetwood Mac to Sheryl Crow.
As with Randol’s first two albums Steady Rhythm and Fables, Songs in the Soil brings us vivid imagery through her story telling. This album combines different decades of music and fuels the perfect marriage between vocals and instrumental melody. As always, Randol hopes that her music takes the listener on a relatable journey, where they are not bored with one particular sound or subject.
Fusing music and film is one of Randol’s greatest joys. Her songs have been featured in TV shows such as Dance Moms, Rectify, Say Yes To The Dress, The Comedians, Get Shorty, Hand of God, and All My Children and in the film Grandmastarring Lily Tomlin.
