As Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Soundstripe, Travis Terrell has played a crucial role in adapting music sync licensing to the online video age. His company, built on the mission “Keep Creatives Creating,” offers a
unique subscription model that enables video producers to pay a monthly or annual fee for unlimited,royalty-free usage of the music in Soundstripe’s catalog.
As Co-CEO, he develops and oversees the company’s short- and long-term strategy, helping to lead the company to a successful Series A investment totaling $6 Million. With an avid and loyal creator community, having issued north of 2.5 million music licenses to date and paying out millions to artists, Soundstripe has seen triple-digit year-over-year growth for the past three years. In 2018, Powderkeg praised Soundstripe as one of the top ten startup cultures in Nashville. So far in 2019, The Tennessean named Soundstripe to its list of 2019 Top Workplaces, where it ranked #1 among small businesses. Terrell also received the Top Workplaces leadership award with his co-founders.
Travis lives in Nashville where his hobbies include cooking for friends; aviation, in which he is a student pilot; and reading an average of 25 books per year.
