SPEAKMUSIC PANELISTS - MUSIC AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP
PARTNER - GRAFFAM MIDDLETON
Tyler Middleton represents creative clients in transactional matters in the entertainment industry. She focuses her law practice areas in contracts, intellectual property, and corporate matters.
Tyler was educated at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. During her college years, Tyler studied voice, journalism, and Italian, traveled abroad, and focused on her singing and songwriting career before deciding to attend law school. During her first year of law school, she performed every weekend, interned at a management company, worked in Business Affairs at Velocette Records, killed it as a barista at Starbucks, and even put out a record of her own. She loved the creative and business components equally and ultimately decided to do both.
After growing her indie-rock entertainment practice in Atlanta for 3 years, Tyler moved to Nashville to join Gladstone Baker Kelley on Music Row, where she practiced for the next 4 years. In May 2010, Tyler founded Graffam Middleton with Ted Graffam in Nashville, and in 2013, Graffam Middleton expanded to open a second office in New York City.
Tyler has served as the President of the Board of Directors for the Nashville Film Festival and was re-elected for a second consecutive term. In addition to this role, she served as a Board member for 9 years. Lately, she continues to use her experience to assist nonprofit boards with organizational support and development needs.
