New Belgium joins forces with Musicians Corner for a Ballyhoo of Bikes and Beer. Join us for a special Tour de Fat Musicians Corner event connecting people with bikes, beer, and community, while having a good ol' time. There will be a bicycle parade, great music, beer, and more family fun. May every generation come forth. This is a family friendly event. Costumes, bikes and a parade? Tour de Fat was thinking like kids when we created this event.
Tour de Fat will be meandering, pandering, and Ned Flandering through 12 U.S. cities this year, spreading the good word about the radness of the mighty bicycle and a simple, honest way of living. Tour de Fat is cruising back through Nashville on Saturday, June 22 from 12 - 5 PM, and you're invited to ride along with us.
The roaming fest celebrates young bike lovers, seasoned beer drinkers, and everyone in between. The day starts with a costumed bicycle parade that weaves through the city, ending at Centennial Park. There, you can sample New Belgium beers, enjoy Nashville's best food trucks and Kidsville activities, join a Thousand Person Dance Contest to win a 2013 New Belgium Cruiser Bike, enter you dog for Dog of the Day, and rock out to Here Come The Mummies and Rayland Baxter.
Kidsville includes outdoor games and activities as well as a bicycle painting craft, bubble worms, and "The City That Listens" ears! There will also be a special craft provided by World Vision.
FUN FOR EVERYONE: Kids of all ages can ride funky bikes, eat delicious fare from Nashville's best food trucks, relax on the lawn, enter your dog for Dog of the Day, visit the Le Tigre Tent to experience a safari of wild vaudevillians in the world's smallest circus tent, and participate in games and activities such as a "Thousand Person Dance Contest", which will determine the winner of a 2013 New Belgium Cruiser Bike.
